Managing a website and a physical store often means having to have two different operating systems which need to communicate between each other to ensure that sales, customers and stock are synchronised. Multiple warehouses
The first issue when you manage both a physical store and a website is the warehouses management. Usually, you own one warehouse for sales in your boutique and another warehouse for your internet sales. However, you may want to be able to sell a boutique product on your website and vice versa. Magento, in all versions (community, professional, enterprise) has almost no stock management system. One of the features of our Embedded ERP software and our WMS solution designed for Magento is that it supports the use of multi warehouses, enabling you to set assignments per warehouse, transfers between warehouses and many other features. Then you are able to manage stock with any location with its own stock levels, products and alerts. The assignment feature also allows to sell all your products on your website.

Even if you need to manage all your sales in just one system, you probably would need to have a overview of the sales from each store, be that either physical sales or those via your website. For this Magento can be tailored to fit your requirements using multi website ability.
